【How Canvas is Made 】Part 1 Twisitng and Multiplying Yarns

The yarns used for the manufacturing of canvas fabrics are made by twisting several threads together, approximately 10 threads to make a single yarn. ‘Twisting’ is the literal twisting of threads together, and ‘multiplying’ means adding on numbers of threads together.

The thickness of canvas is determined by the number of single yarns used. The twisting and multiplying process results in the product being strong, fabrics being tense and durable.
